For Perth builders
Websites for Perth builders, built to be judged on the work
Nobody signs a build off a website. But plenty of people rule a builder out from one, and most of them do it in about eleven seconds. This is a site built to survive that look, wired to a system that answers the enquiries you cannot take on site.

Why missed calls hit builders particularly hard
Building is the opposite of an emergency trade, and that changes everything about what the website has to do. Your buyer is making one of the largest purchasing decisions of their life. They will spend weeks researching, they will look at four or five builders, and they will show your website to their partner. The site is not there to trigger a phone call in nine seconds. It is there to survive a slow, sceptical inspection.
Which means photography is the product. A builder's website with six low-resolution photos and a stock image of a hard hat tells a buyer more than any paragraph on it. The pages that win the enquiry are the ones with real completed projects, shot properly, with enough of them that the visitor believes there is a business behind it. Everything else on the site is supporting cast.
What a normal week looks like. Enquiries come in weekday business hours, usually while you are on site with a nail gun going. They are patient enough to leave a message but not patient enough to wait two days, and they are almost certainly enquiring with two other builders on the same afternoon.
What that costs you, in your numbers
The arithmetic is the same for every trade, only the job value changes. Missed calls a month, times what a job is worth, times the share of those callers who would actually have booked.
A typical builder job in Perth runs somewhere between $15,000 and $900,000, so call the everyday one $45,000. Ten missed calls a month, and say 30 per cent of those people would have booked:
10 × $45,000 × 0.30 = $135,000 a month, or $1,620,000 a year.
Those figures are estimates, not a survey. We have not measured Perth builders and we are not going to pretend otherwise. Put your own numbers in the calculator and see what your version says.
Ten missed calls a month is roughly one every second working day, which most one-van operations pass before smoko on a Monday. And 30 per cent is deliberately cautious: plenty of missed calls are suppliers, wrong numbers and people who were never going to book.
The number that matters is not the annual one, it is whether catching a single extra job covers the cost. At $45,000 a job, it does, with room to spare.
What a builder's website actually has to do
Most trade websites are built to look professional. That is not the same as being built to win work, and for builders specifically the difference comes down to a handful of things.
- Lead with completed projects, shot properly, with enough of them to prove a track record
- State your builder's registration number, because a careful buyer checks it and a careless one is reassured by seeing it
- Be explicit about what you do and do not take on, so you stop fielding enquiries for jobs you would never quote
- Explain your process in plain terms, because most of the anxiety in a build is not knowing what happens next
- Make the enquiry form ask for enough that you can qualify it, without asking so much that nobody finishes it
None of that is exotic. It is just what happens when the site is designed around the person arriving on it rather than around a template that was originally built for a consultancy.
A site built this way, that you can click through
Rather than describe it, here is one. This is a design from our gallery, built for exactly this trade. Open it on your phone, which is where nearly all of your customers will see yours.

Ironbark Building
A builder's site that leads with the work: projects first, credentials visible, process explained without jargon.
Ironbark Building is a design from our template gallery, not a client. The business is invented; the site is real and you can click through every page of it. Yours would be built on the same bones with your name, your photos and your trade.
What you get, in plain terms
One monthly price covers three things. We do not sell them separately, because a website with nothing behind it is a brochure and automation pointing at a bad site is money into a hole.
01
The website
Project-led, with the photography doing the selling. Registration number visible, process explained, and an enquiry form built to qualify rather than just collect an email.
02
The text-back
An enquiry that rings out while you are on site gets a text back the same minute. On a job worth tens of thousands, catching one a year has paid for a decade of this.
03
The reviews
Handover triggers the review request automatically, at the one moment the client is happiest. Builders chronically under-collect reviews because handover is chaos and asking feels awkward.
It is $299 a month. Your first month is free, there is no setup fee, and it is month to month with no lock-in. If it is not making you money you should not be paying for it, and cancelling takes one email. The full pricing is here, including what happens to the site if you leave.
There is also a change guarantee with actual teeth. Send us a change and if it is not live within two business days of us having what we need, that month is 25 per cent off. Four changes a month, one at a time.
Questions builders ask
My jobs are worth tens of thousands. Is a text-back not a bit small-time?
It is the opposite. The bigger the job, the more one missed enquiry costs you. A text that says you are on site and will call at four is not down-market, it is the responsiveness a buyer spending $45,000 is quietly testing you for. The wording is yours and we will write it to match how you talk to clients.
I do not have good photos of my work. Can you still build the site?
We can build it, but be honest with yourself about what it will do. A builder's site without real project photography is a brochure, and it will not convert. If that is where you are, spend the money on a photographer for a day first. We will tell you that on the call rather than take your money and hand you a site that cannot work.
Can the site handle a proper project gallery?
Yes. Project pages with multiple images, a short description of the brief and the outcome, and the ability to add a new one when a build finishes. That last part matters more than the design: a gallery that has not changed in two years reads as a business that has not built anything in two years.
Do you do the ads as well?
Yes, and it is often the wrong first step for a builder. Paid traffic to a site with no project photography converts badly and you will conclude ads do not work. Get the site right, get the reviews flowing, then talk about ads.
