For Perth landscapers
Websites for Perth landscapers, built to sell a picture of the finished yard
A landscaping customer is buying something that does not exist yet. Your website's job is to make the finished version real enough in their head that they are willing to pay for it.

Why missed calls hit landscapers particularly hard
Landscaping is a design sale before it is a construction sale, and that is what most landscaper websites get wrong. The customer is standing in a yard of sand and weeds trying to imagine paving, a retaining wall, some lawn and a tree. They cannot picture it. Your portfolio is the only thing that lets them, which is why photography of finished yards is doing almost all the selling and the copy is doing almost none.
The complication is scope. Landscaping covers everything from a few hundred dollars of turf to a six-figure full rebuild with retaining, drainage and reticulation, and the enquiries arrive completely undifferentiated. A site that does not help a visitor place themselves on that scale generates a lot of enquiries you will never quote and misses the ones you want.
What a normal week looks like. Strong spring peak and a pre-Christmas rush from people wanting the yard done before they entertain. Enquiries skew towards evening form fills, because people think about their yard when they are home looking at it.
What that costs you, in your numbers
The arithmetic is the same for every trade, only the job value changes. Missed calls a month, times what a job is worth, times the share of those callers who would actually have booked.
A typical landscaper job in Perth runs somewhere between $1,500 and $120,000, so call the everyday one $12,000. Ten missed calls a month, and say 30 per cent of those people would have booked:
10 × $12,000 × 0.30 = $36,000 a month, or $432,000 a year.
Those figures are estimates, not a survey. We have not measured Perth landscapers and we are not going to pretend otherwise. Put your own numbers in the calculator and see what your version says.
Ten missed calls a month is roughly one every second working day, which most one-van operations pass before smoko on a Monday. And 30 per cent is deliberately cautious: plenty of missed calls are suppliers, wrong numbers and people who were never going to book.
The number that matters is not the annual one, it is whether catching a single extra job covers the cost. At $12,000 a job, it does, with room to spare.
What a landscaper's website actually has to do
Most trade websites are built to look professional. That is not the same as being built to win work, and for landscapers specifically the difference comes down to a handful of things.
- Lead with full finished-yard photography, ideally including the before, because the transformation is the product
- Help visitors self-sort by scale, so a $3,000 turf job and a $60,000 rebuild both know they are in the right place
- Show the Perth-specific things: reticulation, limestone retaining, drainage and what actually survives here
- Explain the design stage and whether it is charged, since it is the first practical question a serious enquiry has
- Be clear on lead time, because good landscapers are booked out and pretending otherwise loses trust later
None of that is exotic. It is just what happens when the site is designed around the person arriving on it rather than around a template that was originally built for a consultancy.
A site built this way, that you can click through
Rather than describe it, here is one. This is a design from our gallery, built for exactly this trade. Open it on your phone, which is where nearly all of your customers will see yours.

Saltbush Landscapes
A landscaping site that leads with finished yards and helps a visitor work out whether their job is a small one or a full rebuild.
Saltbush Landscapes is a design from our template gallery, not a client. The business is invented; the site is real and you can click through every page of it. Yours would be built on the same bones with your name, your photos and your trade.
What you get, in plain terms
One monthly price covers three things. We do not sell them separately, because a website with nothing behind it is a brochure and automation pointing at a bad site is money into a hole.
01
The website
Before-and-after photography of finished yards, an honest way for visitors to place themselves by budget, and the Perth-specific detail that shows you build for this soil and this climate.
02
The text-back
Calls missed on site get an immediate reply asking for the suburb and roughly what they are after, so you can triage before you ring back.
03
The reviews
Completion triggers the request, at the moment the client is standing in a yard that just changed completely. It is the easiest review you will ever be given and most landscapers never ask.
It is $299 a month. Your first month is free, there is no setup fee, and it is month to month with no lock-in. If it is not making you money you should not be paying for it, and cancelling takes one email. The full pricing is here, including what happens to the site if you leave.
There is also a change guarantee with actual teeth. Send us a change and if it is not live within two business days of us having what we need, that month is 25 per cent off. Four changes a month, one at a time.
Questions landscapers ask
Do you charge for the design stage?
That is your call, not ours, but the site should answer it plainly either way. It is the first practical question a serious enquiry has, and leaving it unanswered produces awkward first phone calls and wasted quotes.
I get lots of enquiries I would never quote. Can the site fix that?
Largely, yes. Indicative project bands and clear examples let people place themselves before they contact you. You will get fewer enquiries and more of them will be real, which is the trade every busy landscaper wants to make.
Should the site cover reticulation and drainage?
If you do them, absolutely, and specifically because they are Perth problems. Sand, summer water restrictions and winter drainage are the things a local customer worries about, and a site that names them reads as someone who has actually worked here.
I am booked out four months. Why would I pay for more leads?
You probably would not want more of the same leads. What you might want is better ones, so the four months ahead is full of $40,000 jobs instead of $4,000 ones. That is a positioning job, and it is worth being upfront about on the call.
