For Perth pool builders
Websites for Perth pool builders, built for a long, visual decision
A pool is a want, not a need, and it is bought with the eyes. Your customer will spend three months looking at photos before they ring anybody, and by the time they call they have already decided what they want it to look like.

Why missed calls hit pool builders particularly hard
Pool building is the most visual sale in the trades and the most seasonal. Enquiries pile up from roughly September as the weather turns, peak before Christmas, and go quiet through winter, which means the enquiries you miss in the spring rush are a disproportionate share of the entire year's work. Missing five in October is not the same as missing five in June.
The other difference is the length of the decision. A pool is discussed at the dinner table for months. That makes the website a shortlisting tool rather than a conversion tool: your job is not to close, it is to survive the cut when someone has eight tabs open. Photography, finishes, and a clear sense of what a project with you actually costs are what get you into the final two.
What a normal week looks like. A long shoulder season from September, a hard peak before Christmas, then near-silence through winter. Enquiries mostly arrive as forms and evening calls rather than urgent daytime ones.
What that costs you, in your numbers
The arithmetic is the same for every trade, only the job value changes. Missed calls a month, times what a job is worth, times the share of those callers who would actually have booked.
A typical pool builder job in Perth runs somewhere between $35,000 and $250,000, so call the everyday one $65,000. Ten missed calls a month, and say 30 per cent of those people would have booked:
10 × $65,000 × 0.30 = $195,000 a month, or $2,340,000 a year.
Those figures are estimates, not a survey. We have not measured Perth pool builders and we are not going to pretend otherwise. Put your own numbers in the calculator and see what your version says.
Ten missed calls a month is roughly one every second working day, which most one-van operations pass before smoko on a Monday. And 30 per cent is deliberately cautious: plenty of missed calls are suppliers, wrong numbers and people who were never going to book.
The number that matters is not the annual one, it is whether catching a single extra job covers the cost. At $65,000 a job, it does, with room to spare.
What a pool builder's website actually has to do
Most trade websites are built to look professional. That is not the same as being built to win work, and for pool builders specifically the difference comes down to a handful of things.
- Lead with large, high-quality photography of completed pools, because that is literally the product being bought
- Show a genuine range of finishes and shapes, since your customer is trying to picture theirs
- Be honest about price bands, because the fastest way to waste a spring is quoting people with a $30,000 budget for a $90,000 pool
- Explain the build process and the timeline, because the disruption is the main objection you have to overcome
- Load fast despite being image-heavy, which is a technical problem most pool builder sites fail
None of that is exotic. It is just what happens when the site is designed around the person arriving on it rather than around a template that was originally built for a consultancy.
A site built this way, that you can click through
Rather than describe it, here is one. This is a design from our gallery, built for exactly this trade. Open it on your phone, which is where nearly all of your customers will see yours.

Azure Pools
A pool builder's site that puts the photography first without becoming slow, with finishes and process laid out for a long decision.
Azure Pools is a design from our template gallery, not a client. The business is invented; the site is real and you can click through every page of it. Yours would be built on the same bones with your name, your photos and your trade.
What you get, in plain terms
One monthly price covers three things. We do not sell them separately, because a website with nothing behind it is a brochure and automation pointing at a bad site is money into a hole.
01
The website
Photography-led and genuinely fast despite it, with finishes, process and honest price bands. Built so a couple can browse it on a phone on the couch, which is where this decision is actually made.
02
The text-back
In the spring rush, enquiries arrive faster than you can answer them. A missed call gets an immediate reply so nobody drops off the shortlist while waiting for you.
03
The reviews
Handover triggers the review request. On a $65,000 purchase, recent reviews from named locals are worth more than any amount of copy.
It is $299 a month. Your first month is free, there is no setup fee, and it is month to month with no lock-in. If it is not making you money you should not be paying for it, and cancelling takes one email. The full pricing is here, including what happens to the site if you leave.
There is also a change guarantee with actual teeth. Send us a change and if it is not live within two business days of us having what we need, that month is 25 per cent off. Four changes a month, one at a time.
Questions pool builders ask
Should I publish prices? Every pool is different.
Not exact prices, but bands, and it is one of the highest-return things you can do. A page saying most of your builds land between two figures does two things at once: it disqualifies the people who were never going to proceed, and it makes the people who can afford you trust you more, because you are the only one who answered the question.
My enquiries are seasonal. Do I pay all year for something I use for four months?
Yes, and it is worth naming that rather than pretending otherwise. The counter is that the site is doing its shortlisting work all winter while people browse and plan, and winter is when the reviews and the search rankings you will need in September get built. But it is a fair question, and it is worth raising on the call.
Can the site handle a big gallery without being slow?
That is the actual technical work in a pool builder's site. Images get compressed and served in modern formats, and everything below the first screen loads only as you scroll. A pool site that takes six seconds on a phone loses to a worse-looking one that takes two.
How do you handle the long gap between enquiry and decision?
That gap is what the quote follow-up add-on exists for: a polite, spaced sequence so a quote sent in October is still in the conversation in December. It is quoted separately and it is not part of the standard plan.
