An AI receptionist for electricians

You can't take a call from inside a ceiling or halfway through a switchboard change. Your AI receptionist answers on the first ring at any hour, sorts the burning smell from the downlight quote, reads your safety lines to the callers who need them and books the rest into your calendar.

Example call: an EV charger quote booked while you're on the tools

Your customer rings your business number.

Emergencies and routine work, sorted from the first question

Callers don't always know which one they've got. It asks your questions in your order, then follows the path you've set for that kind of call.

  • No power, sparking, burning smell

Asks what's happening and whether anyone is hurt, reads your safety line, and puts URGENT at the top of the summary emailed to you.

  • Fallen or damaged lines

Usually a job for the network, not for you. Your script tells the caller to treat the line as live, keep well back and ring 000 or their electricity distributor.

  • Faults and repairs

Tripping circuits, dead powerpoints, lights that flicker. It gets the room, the symptom and the address, then books the next free service slot.

  • Quotes

Downlights, switchboard upgrades, EV chargers, board work before a solar or battery install. It asks your quote questions and books a site visit.

  • Builders and property managers

Takes the site address, access details and who the job is billed to, then books it or sends you a message, whichever you've chosen.

What it asks, and what happens next

A starting point we adjust with you before launch. The questions and outcomes are yours; the receptionist doesn't diagnose anything.

Safety lines you write, read out when they're needed

It isn't an electrician and we don't set it up to act like one. It reads the wording you approve and passes the details to you; it doesn't give advice of its own.

  • Fallen or low lines: a common version is to treat them as live, keep well back, and ring 000 or the electricity distributor.
  • Burning smell or sparking: your line on what to do until someone arrives, including whether to switch off at the main switch if it's safe to reach.
  • Anyone hurt by a shock: 000 first, before any talk of a booking.
  • Every safety call is marked urgent in the summary, with the address, the caller's number and exactly what they reported.
  • We run each safety path with you on a test call before it goes live.

Questions callers ask an electrician

Give us your answers once and it uses them on every call. For anything outside them, it says someone will get back to them and takes a message.

  • "Are you licensed?"

It gives your business name and licence number exactly as you supply them, and says you're insured if you tell us you are.

  • "Do you do solar and batteries?"

If you do, it books the visit. If you only handle the switchboard side, it says so in your words and offers that instead.

  • "How much for new downlights?"

Prices only come from a script you've approved. Without one, it explains that you quote on site and books the visit.

  • "Can someone come today?"

It offers only times that are free in your Google or Outlook calendar, so it can't promise a slot that isn't there.

ServiceM8, simPRO and job software

We connect it to your job software, like ServiceM8, simPRO or Fergus, so a call becomes a job without anyone typing it in. Bookings also land in your Google or Outlook calendar, and each call arrives as an emailed summary.

We set the connection up with you and test it before it touches a real customer. You see any cost before you pay.

What it costs

From A$499 a month, set up and looked after by us. Every system starts with a 14-day free trial.

Card required. 14-day free trial, then $499/mo from day 15. No setup fee. No lock-in contract; cancel any time. Cancel before the trial ends and pay nothing.

Questions owners ask

Can an AI receptionist handle emergency calls for an electrician?

It answers them on the first ring, asks your safety questions, reads your safety wording and marks the call urgent in the summary emailed to you. It doesn't diagnose faults. You choose what happens next after hours: put urgent calls straight through to your mobile, book the first slot next morning, or take a message for an urgent callback.

What does it tell someone whose powerline is down?

Whatever wording you approve. A common version: treat the line as live, keep well back, and ring 000 or the electricity distributor. It also takes their address and number in case you're needed once the line is made safe.

Can it give callers my licence number?

Yes. We load your licence number and business details, and it reads them out exactly as supplied when a caller asks. If you hold licences in more than one state, we set up what it should say for each.

Will it quote for downlights or a switchboard upgrade?

Only if you give us a price script and approve it. If you quote these on site, it says so, asks your quote questions and books the visit.

Does it work with ServiceM8?

Yes. Once it's connected to your ServiceM8, each call turns into a job with the details filled in, and any cost is agreed up front. It also books into your Google or Outlook calendar and emails you a summary of each call.
