Comparison
OP Digital vs Johnni AI: two different answers to the same phone call
Johnni is an AI receptionist with genuinely deep job-management integrations. We are a bundled front end: the website, the calls and the reviews on one line item. They are not really competing for the same job, and which one suits you comes down to whether you already have the rest of your setup sorted.

How this page was written
Everything stated here about Johnni was read off johnni.ai on 19 August 2026, and the pages are linked in the sources at the bottom. Nothing is inferred from what a competitor “probably” does, and where we could not verify something, the page says so rather than filling the gap.
We sell a competing product, so read it with that in mind. Every claim below is one we can show you on their own website, which is more than most comparison pages will offer you in either direction.
What Johnni AI is
Johnni is an Australian AI receptionist aimed squarely at tradies. Their own description is that Johnni “answers every call, rings your new leads back, and talks to visitors on your website by voice or text, then books the job into ServiceM8, Simpro or your calendar while the customer is still on the line.”
Integrations are where they have put the work. Their homepage names native connections to ServiceM8, Simpro, ServiceTitan, Aroflo, Zoho, HubSpot, Pipedrive, Salesforce, Google Calendar and Outlook, with dedicated pages for the ServiceM8 and Simpro paths. Those are native and they work the day you sign up. Ours are not native, and that difference is real.
What that does not mean is that you have to pick between your job software and us. Already using ServiceM8 or something like it? Keep it. We sit in front of whatever you run, so nothing changes about how you handle jobs. And when we set you up we can wire it in, so bookings drop straight into your jobs and the review text goes out when you close the job off.
The straight difference is timing. Theirs works the day they switch you on. Ours gets built in while we build you.
Also named on their site: after-hours and overflow handling, warm transfer to a human, a radius service-area check, persistent memory across calls, outbound callbacks to new leads, voice and text chat on your website, and their own CRM included if you do not run one.
What OP Digital is
A Perth agency that builds and runs the entire front end of a local service business on one monthly line item. The website, the missed-call text-back and the Google review automation, or the all-in plan that swaps the text-back for an AI receptionist.
We sell the loop rather than the parts, and that is deliberate. A website with nothing behind it is a brochure. Call handling pointed at a site that does not convert is money into a hole. Reviews nobody asks for do not arrive. Those three things are one job, and buying them from one person who owns the whole outcome is the difference between a system and a pile of subscriptions you have to make talk to each other.
Prices are published on the site: $299 a month for the system, and $499 a month for the all-in plan with the receptionist. First month free on both, no setup fee, month to month.
Side by side
| Johnni AI | OP Digital | |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | An AI receptionist for Australian trade businesses. | A bundled front end: website, call handling and review automation together. |
| Builds your website | No. It talks to visitors on the site you already have. | Yes. The website is the centre of it, live in 14 days from your content. |
| Job-management integrations | ServiceM8, Simpro, ServiceTitan, Aroflo, Zoho, HubSpot, Pipedrive, Salesforce, Google Calendar, Outlook. | None native. We sit in front of your job software, and for ServiceM8 or something like it we can wire it in when we set you up, so bookings drop into your jobs and the review text goes when you close one off. |
| Google review automation | Not listed on their site. | Included in both plans. |
| Published pricing | None. No pricing page on the site. | Published. $299/mo, and the all-in plan at $499/mo. |
| Try before you talk to anyone | A 'Talk to Johnni' widget on their site. | Two public demo lines you can ring without giving anyone your details. |
| Outbound lead callbacks | Yes, listed on their site. | Not in the standard plans. |
| Focus | AI call handling only, which is where all their development goes. | The whole loop, which means less depth in any one part. |
| Who you deal with | An Australian company with a team. | Sam, in Perth. One person, which cuts both ways. |
| Commitment | Not stated publicly. | Month to month, no lock-in, first month free. |

Which one you should actually buy
These are different products for different stages. Johnni adds a receptionist to a front end that already works. We build the front end. For a tradie who wants the whole thing handled and one bill at the end of it, that is the entire decision.
How to actually decide
- Write down what is broken. If the answer is only “the phone”, buy a phone product. If it is the phone, the website and the fact that you have eleven Google reviews from 2023, buy the bundle.
- Check your job-management system. If ServiceM8 or Simpro runs your business, that integration is worth more than anything else on this page and it should decide it.
- Ring both. You can ring our demo lines right now without giving anyone your details, and Johnni has a widget on their site. Two minutes each will tell you more than any comparison table.
- Ask both for the price in writing. Ours is on the pricing page. Theirs comes from a call. Neither is wrong, but get it written down before you commit either way.
- Ask what happens when you leave. With us, the website vests to you after six paid months and the automations switch off. Ask them the same question about your data and your call recordings.
If it turns out you do not need a receptionist at all, that comparison is here and it is the cheaper conversation to have first.
Common questions
Is Johnni AI any good?
On the evidence of their own site, yes. They are Australian, focused on AI call handling for tradies, and they list native integrations with ServiceM8, Simpro, ServiceTitan, Aroflo and several CRMs, which we do not. They answer the phone. What they do not do is build you the website, run your review generation, or publish what any of it costs. If a receptionist is the only thing missing from a setup that already works, look at them. If the setup itself is the problem, that is what we do.
How much does Johnni AI cost?
They do not publish a price. Their site has no pricing page, and the ROI calculator on their homepage asks you to enter your own monthly budget rather than showing a price. That is a common and perfectly legitimate way to sell a product whose cost varies by call volume. It does mean you have to book a call to compare, so factor that in.
What does OP Digital do that Johnni does not?
We build the website, run the Google review automation, publish our prices in numbers you can read today, and put the lot on one monthly bill you can cancel any time. Johnni is an AI call handler, so if you have no site, or yours is losing you work, or nothing is asking your customers for reviews, none of that gets fixed by them. Where they are ahead of us is the job-management integrations.
What does Johnni do that OP Digital does not?
Job-management integrations. ServiceM8, Simpro, ServiceTitan and Aroflo are named on their own site, and if your business already runs on one of those, a booking landing straight in it is genuinely useful. They also do outbound lead callbacks and website voice chat. Worth knowing that all of it assumes you already have the website, the reviews and the rest of the front end working.
I already run ServiceM8. Do I have to give it up to work with you?
No. Keep it. We are the front end, not the back office. The website, the text-back, the receptionist and the reviews all sit in front of whatever you run for jobs, so nothing about how you quote, schedule and invoice has to change. If you are on ServiceM8 or something like it we can wire it in when we build you, so bookings drop into your jobs and the review text goes out when you close one off. Straight difference against Johnni: theirs is native and works the day you sign up, ours gets wired in during your build.
Can I use both?
In principle yes, and it would probably be wasteful. Both do call handling, so you would be paying twice for the same job. If you like Johnni's integrations and need a website, the cleaner answer is our one-off website build alongside their service, rather than two overlapping subscriptions.
