Every enquiry gets a fast, consistent next step.

OP Digital sets up and runs an AI receptionist for service businesses across Australia that answers every call on the first ring, any hour, in your business's name. It books the job or the next step you've agreed and texts you a summary, and you can ring the demo now to hear it.

What happens when a customer rings you

Your customer rings your business number.

Example call to Northside Electrical, a fictional business. Your customer, Tom, rings your business number about: Kitchen circuit keeps tripping, Chermside QLD. Your AI receptionist answers on the first ring, asks what the job is, where they are and if it's safe, then books Today 3:30pm and reads it back. Tom gets a text: Hi Tom, you're booked with Northside Electrical today at 3:30pm at 7 Hamilton Rd, Chermside. Reply here if anything changes. You get a text: New booking: Tom, 0491 570 142. Kitchen circuit keeps tripping, no burning smell or heat. 7 Hamilton Rd, Chermside. Today 3:30pm.

Example call for a fictional business. Ring the demo to hear the real thing.

  8. TomYep.
  9. AI receptionistDone. I'll text you the details now.

How do we set it up?

We write it from what your customers actually ask, you approve every word, and it goes live on the number you already have.

  1. We write the answers

We sit down with what your customers actually ask, your prices, your service area, your hours, and turn it into the script it works from. It never guesses at anything it was not given.
  2. You approve every word

Nothing goes live until you have read it. If it does not sound like you, we change it. It is your business's voice, not ours.
  3. It goes live on your existing number

Your number does not change. Nobody has to be told a new one, and nothing on your van, your website or your Google listing needs reprinting.

What does a call actually sound like?

Here's a second call, late on a Sunday, with a note on each line explaining what the system is doing and why.

  1. 9:47pm, Sunday. The phone rings.

Nobody is in the office. This is the call that normally goes to voicemail and then to whoever answers next.

  2. Your receptionistThanks for calling, you're speaking with an AI assistant. What can I do for you?

Picked up on the first ring, late on a Sunday, and straight into what the caller needs.

  3. CallerYeah g'day, my hot water's gone. Do you do emergency call-outs?

  4. Your receptionistWe do. Can I grab your name first?

It asks one thing at a time and saves each answer as it goes. Asking the same question twice in different words is the fastest way to sound like a machine, so it's built not to.

  5. CallerDave. I'm over in Bayswater.

  6. Your receptionistThanks Dave. Bayswater's well inside where we work. Our call-out is $180 after hours, and that comes off the job if you go ahead.

That price came from the answers you approved. It's set up not to guess. If it doesn't know, it takes a message and says the team will confirm the price, because a wrong price quoted at 10pm is a fight in the morning.

  7. CallerYeah righto, can someone come out first thing?

  8. Your receptionistI've got 7:30am or 9am tomorrow. Which suits?

Those are real openings read live from your diary, not a promise to call back. It only offers times that are free in your calendar.

  9. Caller7:30's good.

  10. Your receptionistSo that's Dave in Bayswater, hot water, tomorrow at 7:30am. Have I got that right?

The most important line in the whole call. It reads the booking back before it confirms anything. This single step is what stops a misheard suburb or time turning into a van at the wrong address.

  11. CallerThat's it. Actually, can I just talk to someone quickly?

  12. Your receptionistNo problem, I'll take your number and get the plumber to call you back this arvo.

No arguing, no third attempt to handle it. It takes the message, tells them when to expect a call, and puts it straight on your phone.

  13. Call ends. Your phone buzzes.

A text summary: who rang, their number, what they wanted, the suburb, and that it's booked. You never listen back to a voicemail, and the job is already in the diary.

Illustrative call, not a recording of a customer. The behaviour shown is how the system is configured to work on every call.

What do you have to do?

Read the script once and tell us what to change. We look after everything else.

  • You do not learn anything

There is no app to open and no dashboard to check. Calls arrive as a text summary on your phone and bookings land in your diary.

  • We build it, you read it

The whole setup is on us. Your only job is reading the script once and telling us what to change.

  • Change it any time

Prices moved, hours changed, you stopped doing a service. Tell us and it is updated, usually the same day.

What does it cost?

It's part of the managed AI system: A$499 a month after a 14-day free trial, with no setup fee and no lock-in.

Common questions

What is an AI receptionist?

An AI receptionist is an AI that answers your business's phone calls, talks with the caller and books the job or the next step you've agreed. Ours answers on the first ring, any hour, in your business's name, and texts you a summary of each call.

How does an AI receptionist work?

It answers on the number you already have and works from a script we write with you and you approve, asking the questions you agreed one at a time. It offers only times that are free in your calendar, reads the booking back before confirming it, and texts you a summary when the call ends.

Does it pretend to be a person?

No. It's an AI receptionist and it won't claim to be a person, even if a caller asks.

Does it have an Australian accent?

Yes, it speaks with an Australian male voice, in plain Australian English. If you'd rather a different voice, we can change it when we set it up.

Can I keep my number?

Yes. It runs on the number you already have. Nothing on your van, your website or your Google listing needs to change.

What if two people ring at once?

Both get answered. It is not one phone line with one person on it, so there is no queue and no engaged tone. Ten at once is the same as one.

What happens if it does not know the answer?

It says so rather than guessing, takes their details and tells them you will come back to them. It will not invent a price it was never given. That is the single most important rule in how it is built.

What if someone just wants to talk to a human?

It takes their name, number and what they need, and texts it to you the moment the call ends, so you can ring them straight back. It does not argue and it does not try to hold on to them.

Will it book people in wrong?

It reads the booking back to the caller before confirming it. That one step is what stops a misheard time turning into someone turning up on the wrong day, and it is why we do it on every booking.

Am I being recorded?

Calls are transcribed so you get your summary and so the booking details are accurate. Callers are told they are speaking to an AI up front, and you decide what is kept.

How much does an AI receptionist cost?

It's A$499 a month as part of the managed AI system, after a 14-day free trial, with unlimited inbound calls. A card is required at signup, and there's no setup fee and no lock-in contract.

Is this the same as missed-call text-back?

No, and you do not need both. Text-back catches the call you missed and sends a text. This answers the call, so there is nothing to miss and nothing to text back.

Ring it now.
